Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

Your privacy matters to us, and it's your data, not ours. This policy lays out what we collect and why, how it's handled, and your rights with respect to it. We never sell your data: never have, never will.

This policy covers the pointfilter.games website and the game Falafel King, both made by Point Filter Games ("we", "us"). "You" means anyone who visits the site, writes to us or plays the game.

What we collect and why

Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here's what that means in practice.

Website visits

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and basic request details, such as your browser and operating system, to serve the pages and protect the site from attacks. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages people visit, how long they take to load, and which website referred them. It doesn't set cookies or tie visits to you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Visitor counter

The counter on the Falafel King page stores one number: the total number of page loads. Nothing about you is stored with it.

Cookies

Our own pages don't set cookies. A cookie is a piece of text stored by your browser. Once Falafel King has a Steam store page, the Falafel King page will include Steam's store widget, which is loaded from Valve's servers and may set Valve's own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Voluntary correspondence

When you email us at hello@pointfilter.games, we keep that correspondence, including your email address, so that we have a history to refer to if you write again. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace. See Google's privacy policy.

Falafel King

Falafel King runs on Steam. We don't run accounts or servers of our own for it.

When we access or disclose your information

We'll never sell your personal information to third parties, and we won't use your name in marketing without your permission.

We rely on a few services to run things: Cloudflare for hosting and analytics, Google Workspace for email, and Valve for Steam. They handle data under their own privacy policies, linked above.

We may disclose information when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order. If that happens, we'll disclose only the minimum needed.

Your rights with respect to your information

We apply the same rights to everyone, wherever you live:

To use any of these rights, email hello@pointfilter.games. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you before we act on it. In practice, the only personal information we're likely to hold is an email you sent us.

Data retention

We keep information only for as long as we need it for the reason we collected it. We keep emails for as long as they help us answer you, and delete them sooner if you ask.

Changes and questions

We may update this policy as our practices change or the law requires. When we make a significant change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

Have any questions, comments or concerns about this policy, your data or your rights? Email us at hello@pointfilter.games and we'll be happy to help.
